Wide-Eyed With Wonder

I’ve decided to live my life

With the wide-eyed wonder of a child.

Giggling and splashing,

And singing and dancing,

And gasping and clapping.

Instead of saying ‘if only

I’m going to say ‘what if?

What if I take the plunge?

What if I make the leap?

What if I lick this icing?

What if I kiss those lips?

What if this wonder-filled life

Is the greatest of all the gifts?
